Terms & Conditions

By entering the Airpark car park you agree to the terms and conditions set out below. These terms and conditions apply from the moment that you drive your vehicle into the car park and apply 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You hereby also bind the owner of the vehicle you are driving to all these conditions and warrant your authority to do so. Airpark reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without notice.

1. Car Park Pre-booking

1.1 A car park pre-booking is deemed to have been placed when made electronically through the Airpark website.

1.2 Provided you satisfactorily complete the pre-booking procedure and parking capacity is available for the times, dates and car park specified you will receive a Parking Ticket confirming your booking from Airpark.

1.3 You should bring the Parking Ticket with you when arriving to commence the parking period at the car park.

1.4 No refunds will be given by Airpark for car park pre-bookings unless prior arrangement with Airpark has been confirmed, refunds will then be processed to the original card on which payment was made.

2. Parking Conditions

2.1 Vehicle left in Airpark car park at any time is at the owner’s sole risk in all respects.

2.2 You agree to the following rules:

(a) You must comply with all rules and directions displayed within the Airpark car park including instructions issued to you by Airpark employees.
(b) You must comply with all rules or directions displayed in the Airpark car park which may change from time to time and comply with all relevant laws of New Zealand.
(c) You must not obstruct other persons or vehicles using the Airpark car park.
(d) You must not park in any area marked 'reserved' or 'no parking'.
(e) The vehicle you are parking in Airpark car park must be issued with a current warrant of fitness, be legally registered , be roadworthy, be able at all times to be driven under its own power and present no danger or risk to other vehicles, persons or the car park.

3. Car Park Pricing Policy and Calculation of Parking Charges

3.1 If your car park entry and exit times change from that specified in the Parking ticket as a result of which your parking period in the car park is greater than the parking period booked, you will be charged the appropriate fee for the additional time based on the tariff applying on the date of your departure from the car park.

3.2 You must pay Airpark all the parking charges and other costs we may incur in relation to the vehicle upon demand. Airpark reserve the right to retain possession of the vehicle until all due charges are paid for, including any costs incurred by Airpark in respect of the vehicle. Parking fees will continue to accrue during the period Airpark retain the vehicle until Airpark recover all fees and costs. If the vehicle has to be removed by Airpark to another location, all costs will have to be paid by you. If the amount due is unpaid after 30 days, you agree that Airpark can sell the vehicle and you agree to take steps required by Airpark to permit Airpark to do so. 

4. Shuttle Service

4.1 Heartland Hotel Auckland Airport provides a free shuttle service between the Airpark car park and the main passenger terminals seven (7) days a week and twenty-four (24) hours per day. Free shuttle transfer includes one transfer to the terminal and one from the terminal only. Any additional transfer requests, including Airpark having to deliver property, will incur additional charges.

4.2 You are advised it is your responsibility to allow an adequate amount of time to transfer between your car park and the passenger terminal building using the shuttle service. Airpark do not accept responsibility if you miss your flight or check-in because you have not allowed adequate time or if the shuttle service is delayed (for example, due to exceptional traffic or weather conditions).

5. Force Majeure

5.1 Airpark shall not be liable for any cancellation, curtailment or otherwise caused by reason of war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural and nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions or technical problems to transport, closure or congestion of airports, cancellation or changes of schedules by airlines, and all similar events beyond its control. Further, Airpark cannot accept responsibility where the performance or prompt performance of this contract with you is prevented or affected as a result of such circumstances beyond Airpark or your control.

6. Airpark Liability

6.1 You are liable for any damage to the car park caused by your vehicle. Airpark reserve the right to enter the vehicle and move it. You agree that Airpark have no liability for any loss or damage caused as a result of entering and moving the vehicle.

6.2 While Airpark shall take all responsible care, Airpark cannot guarantee the security of your vehicle. Airpark will not accept liability for any claim by you or any other person, whether for loss or damage to you or any other person, or to your vehicle/s or any other vehicle, whether resulting from using the Airpark car park or being able to use the Airpark car park, from any additional services that you have requested, or from your negligence or otherwise.

6.3 Airpark will not accept liability for any loss or damage to your vehicle where you have requested additional services. Such additional services may be provided by a third party, and may require that your vehicle leave Airpark custody or control. While Airpark take all responsible care to select appropriate third parties to provide such additional services, Airpark make no warranties in relation to the additional services they provide.

6.4 Airpark will not accept liability for any loss or damage to any article left in Airpark custody or control. Airpark employees are not authorised to accept any of your possessions for safe custody except the keys to your vehicle where possession is taken at Airpark request.

6.5 Airpark warrant that any services provided by Airpark will be rendered with due care and skill. Airpark make no other express warranties in relation to the services provided. All other warranties, representations and conditions relating to the services Airpark provide are to the maximum extent permitted by law expressly excluded. Airpark liability to you in connection with the car park shall be strictly limited to and shall not exceed that determined by reference to the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. 

6.6 You acknowledge Airpark may deliver the vehicle to any persons producing the Parking ticket issued to you or producing other evidence of entitlement satisfactory to Airpark.

6.7 Any complaints/disputes arising out of additional services, including car valets, warrants of fitness or other services, must be reported to Airpark at the time of collection of the vehicle. Where these additional services have been provided by a third party, any such disputes will need to be resolved directly with the relevant third party,

6.8 You agree to indemnify Airpark in respect of any claim made against us arising from your use of the car park or use of the car park by anyone else with your authority.

7. Privacy

7.1 Personal data will be treated in accordance with Airpark’ Privacy Policy. The policy can be viewed at www.airpark.co.nz/privacy-policy

8. Interpretation

8.1 To avoid any confusion as to the meaning of these terms and conditions:

  • "damage" includes direct, indirect, consequential and special damage.
  • "vehicle" includes its accessories and contents.
  • "you" includes both the driver and the owner of a vehicle entering this car park.
  • "your vehicle" means the vehicle which you are driving, regardless of whether it is owned by you.
